Bid to rape girl: locals tonsure youth's head

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Angry locals tonsured the head of a youngster when he allegedly attempted to rape an eight-year-old girl at Kushaiguda on Thursday.

Suresh, 19, of Nehrunagar lured the second class student to his house. "The girl raised an alarm when he tried to sexually assault her. Alerted by her cries, locals broke open the door and caught him," Kushaiguda SI Sreenivas Reddy said.

They gave the youngster a thorough thrashing, shaved off half of his moustache and tonsured his head before calling in the police.

Corruption at the worst phase.

It really took me by total shock, when I read the news that a government employee asked Sex as a favour for doing his job of issuing a ration card which entitles people for subsidized rice. Its nice to see that the tv channel ETV decided to tape all his demands and put them both on television and news paper. That would be one hell of a warning to all others who want to do that. What makes me more shocked is his reply to the question "Would money work ?". He says, "I made enough money already. I dont want money !"
